General recommendations

During the whole manufacturing process, packaging and dispatching, WIB bearings are handled with the greatest care in order to avoid any risk of contamination and corrosion. The user is requested to take the same precautions and handle the bearings with the greatest care and cleanliness. This will guarantee reliable operation and the longest possible service life of the bearing.

WIB recommends paying special attention to the following points:

● Only unpack the bearings just before using them.

● Avoid shocks, which could cause damage to the raceways and balls of the bearing

● Avoid too high pressure on the rings while measuring or mounting.

● If greasing is necessary when mounting, the bearing must also be cleaned. Always use clean and filtered grease.

● Do not handle bearings with dirty hands.

● Do not store bearings in humid or corrosive environments.

● Take great precautions if glue has to be used for mounting the bearing. The glue should under no circumstance come into contact with the lubricant of the bearing.
